It’s because he’s a “football hero.” They do the same thing with everyone else who’s in football.

honestly, unless youre a student at penn state, and sometimes then as well, you dont know what youre talking about. obviously, you have no idea how much he did for the school, or what actually happened. if it bothers you that people are upset over the death of the most admired man to ever walk on the grounds of the university, you dont need to be an asshole about it, or talk shit about him or penn state. i can tell you now, im not a football fan, i didnt come to penn state for the football, and unfortunately, i never got to see one of the games joepa coached. that does not mean he deserved to die and it certainly doesnt make me appreciate him any less for what hes done for the university.

Decent people have been saying, “NOTHING PATERNO EVER DID is as important as the fact that he allowed children to be raped. Nothing.”

But yeah, good job telling people that you think Penn State football is more important than the safety of children.
